Every grooming appointment includes up to 60 minutes of complimentary extended care, which can be used for early drop-off, late pick-up, or a combination of both. If your dog stays with us beyond that 60-minute window, an extended care fee applies to cover the additional supervision and care.

How often should my dog be groomed?
Most long-coated and curly-coated dogs do best with a full groom every 4 to 6 weeks, with brushing at home in between. Short-coated dogs are usually happy with a bath, dry, and brush every 6 to 8 weeks. Nails typically need attention every 3 to 4 weeks regardless of coat type.
What is included in a Full Groom versus a Bath, Dry & Brush?
A Full Groom includes a haircut, bath, blow dry, brush out, nail clip and grind, and ear cleaning. A Bath, Dry & Brush covers the bath, drying, and brush out without a haircut, which is perfect for short-coated pups or for freshening up between full grooms.
How long does a grooming appointment take?
Most appointments take two to four hours depending on your dog's size, coat condition, and the style you choose. We work at a calm, unhurried pace rather than rushing dogs through, and every appointment includes up to 60 minutes of complimentary extended care for early drop-off or late pick-up.
What vaccinations are required before grooming?
We ask for current vaccination records at your dog's first visit, including Rabies. You can submit records through the Pet Parent Portal, by text, by email, or bring them in with you on the day of the appointment.
Do you groom dogs from Sioux Falls, Tea, and the surrounding towns?
Absolutely. Our salon is at 659 W Willow Street in Harrisburg, SD, minutes south of Sioux Falls, and we regularly groom dogs from Sioux Falls, Tea, Brandon, Hartford, Renner, Lennox, and Worthing.
How much does dog grooming cost?
Full Grooms start at $80 for extra small short-haired dogs and scale with size and coat length, while Bath, Dry & Brush starts at $55. Final pricing depends on size, coat condition, the haircut you want, time on the table, and behavior, and we always give you an estimate before we begin.
Do you groom matted dogs or nervous dogs?
Yes. For matted coats, your dog's comfort comes first, so a shorter shave-down is often the kindest option and we will talk it through with you before we start. For anxious pups, our calm, low-volume salon and unhurried pace help, and we can break the visit into shorter steps as needed.
What add-on services do you offer?
We offer nail trim with clip and grind, extra de-shedding, anal gland expression, teeth brushing, ear cleaning with or without plucking, and creative grooming or color. Finishing touches like cologne, a bandana, or a bow tie are part of the Dapper Dog experience.
