Our 3-Day Induction Program
A gentle, safe, and happy start to your pup's daycare journey. Over three visits, your dog is gradually introduced to our facility, spends one-on-one time with our staff, and (when ready) meets other dogs in a calm, supportive way. We track progress each day and share personalized feedback and recommendations after day three.

A few things to fetch before day one.
We keep the Club safe and happy by holding every member to the same high standard. Records can be submitted on the Pet Parent Portal, by text, email, or in person.
- Up-to-date on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella (we'll keep a copy on file)
- Intact females are not permitted in daycare during their heat cycle or for two weeks after it ends (spay/neuter is not required for daycare)
- Flea & tick prevention current
- Friendly with people and comfortable around other dogs
- Completed the 3-Day Induction Program

What are the requirements to join dog daycare at The Dapper Dog?
Every Social Club member must be up to date on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines, current on flea and tick prevention, comfortable around people and other dogs, and must complete our 3-Day Induction Program. Intact females cannot attend during their heat cycle or for two weeks after it ends, but spay/neuter is not required for daycare.
What is the 3-Day Induction Program and why is it required?
The 3-Day Induction Program is a gentle three-visit introduction to daycare. Day one is a solo facility tour with one-on-one staff time, day two is small curated meet-and-greets, and day three is a full daycare day followed by personalized feedback. It lets us learn your dog's play style and match them to the right group, which keeps every pup in the Club safe and comfortable.
Where are you located and how far is the daycare from Sioux Falls?
We are at 659 W Willow Street in Harrisburg, SD 57032, just minutes south of Sioux Falls along the Cliff Avenue and Minnesota Avenue corridors. Most pet parents in south Sioux Falls, Tea, and Harrisburg reach us in about 10 to 15 minutes, which makes a weekday drop-off an easy part of the commute.
What vaccines does my dog need for daycare?
Rabies, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus), and Bordetella are required for all daycare dogs. We keep a copy of the records on file, and you can send them through the Pet Parent Portal, by text, by email, or bring them in person.
Do you offer half-day and full-day daycare, and are there packages?
Yes. Half days cover up to 5 hours and full days cover 5 or more hours, and both are available as a single day or as 5, 10, and 20 day packages that save you money. Packages never expire, so you can use them whenever your pup needs a day at the Club.
What are your daycare drop-off and pick-up hours?
Our doors are open from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and drop-off and pick-up can happen any time in that window. Play groups rotate roughly one hour of play to one hour of rest or solo enrichment so no dog gets overstimulated across the day.
How do you keep playgroups safe?
Dogs are grouped by size, age, and energy level and are supervised by trained staff at all times. We rotate play and rest throughout the day, provide quiet enrichment like cozy beds and sniffing puzzles, and keep the space clean and climate controlled year round.
Can I add training to my dog's daycare day?
Yes. Our Play & Train add-on gives your dog a focused 20-minute one-on-one session with our trainer during any Social Club daycare day, so you can make steady training progress without an extra trip across town.
